this new home is the result of an extensive renovation in which the existing ranch-style home was torn down to the first floor deck and rebuilt as a shingle clad home with playful use of scale and proportion to create imagery and details that would complement the wooded landscape, while offering casual, comfortable interior living space with character. the plan is organized around a central circulation hall that feeds all of the living spaces of the first floor. windows are placed at deliberate locations to offer views to the outside. the second floor contains four bedrooms under the eaves of its oversized roof and dormers.
